Scottish mountain juniper, driftwood and shells from Selsey

The base of the sculpture was found on the sea shore at Culnacraig and in its smoothness called for a sharp contrast to emphasize its beauty.  The bleached and fragile juniper branch which I had had for a long time, seemed the perfect partner.  The shells from Selsey in their fragility added the unexpected rounded and moving shapes which can become insects or leaves and swing with the wind.
