Recycled

Sandstone, gold, wood, hemp and cork

I had the limestone pebble by my pond for many years and watched as nature re-shaped it it into many smaller pieces. It made me realise that it is nature’s way to recycle and decided to re-assemble it as best possible.  A recycled turned piece of wood and half a fishing net float form a suitable pedestal for the stone.  Gold leaf highlights the last piece of the puzzle which deserved a special place on the top shelf of the box where the light is shining through the opening in the frame. When the new owner contacted me that the disintegration had continued,  I repaired the centre stone and added a new ‘recycled’ element to the sculpture in the shape of a small sphere which contained all the smallest limestone pieces combined with gold flecks.
