Driftwood from the North West of Scotland, pebble from Devon, fence post base from a friend, flexible wire mesh

The small and detailed driftwood piece suggested a bird hovering or protecting its nest.  Whereas the front seems to show the whole bird, the back shows just the head of a bird. Naturally it needed to have an egg to protect in its wire mesh nest.  The mesh is obscuring the egg slightly and the irregular opening is hopefully making the observer curious and keen to find out what is hidden.
