Driftwood from North West Scotland, flint from fields in the Lambourn Valley in Berkshire and pebbles from a school playground

This sculpture was inspired by the beautifully curved pieces of flint which form the bodies of the two main figures and the baby shaped pebble from the playground of the school where I teach.   The other two pebbles were given to me by my pupils.  They match perfectly, and I attached them to give the impression of human figures.  The piece of driftwood beautifully cradles the baby in its hollow whilst the two figures are watching over it.
