Dolphin’s Abacus

Stone, driftwood, steel knitting needle and flint pebbles

Dolphin’s Abacus was born from the inspirational piece of wood which called for polishing on one side and protection on the other. The rounded stones with natural holes sit comfortably on the big opening sliding on a steel knitting needle and the ornate small root shapes give the sculpture further textures. Finally the heavy stone base allowed the dolphin to leap.
