Driftwood, pebbles from Ardmair Bay and Brighton beach. Plinth from old discarded timbers from the Culnacraig footbridge
This was my first ever sculpture. I was inspired by the flat white marble pebble from Ardmair Bay and its tactile qualities which was lying on the window sill beside a piece of driftwood I had found the day before in Culnacraig. The piece of wood had a natural hollow that seemed to be the ideal home for the pebble. The smaller pebble was then needed to balance the visual effect. It sits high on the wood and appears to be rolling off any minute now. All of it is floating above the plinth which was made of the recycled old piece of wood from the repaired bridge over the local burn in Culnacraig.
