Homage à Henry Moore VI

Flint on a slate sample used by my parents when they built their house

This series of sculptures came about through years of collecting ‘sculptural’ flint stones on our family walks in the countryside. They evoked ideas of human figures in me and I was thinking of using them somehow. Then I saw a photo of Henry Moore in his studio and beside him a sizeable box full of large flint stones like mine! I felt that this was a sign to finally give the stones their purpose.
